Once a month we try and visit the beach at West Wittering with our dogs and invite all group members to join us if they can.

This is what you need to know:

You must book your place beforehand through the office, indicating the number of dogs and people that will attend.
There is a car park fee to pay - you need the correct money and it is always best to check what that is going to be before you leave. Occasionally you have to pay through the machine at the barrier and if you are holding everyone up in the queue....................
Please drive to the end of the track and park on the rhs on the grass ( if open) or you will see our cars on the side of the road. Leave your dog in the car until we are all there and keep it on a lead at all times unless we tell you otherwise. Naturally you must clear up after your dog every time - there are bins.
The cost to attend the visit with Walkabout is £10 per dog - cash please on the day plus a contribution towards the charity tin.

Once everyone has arrived we will meet on the grass on the rhs and allow the dogs to calm down before we walk down to the beach. This is fully supervised and no dog should be off lead unless we advise otherwise.
We then go down to the beach as a group and once we have established an area to use, selected dogs will be allowed off lead. This will depend on sea/tide conditions and also the amount of other people and dogs on the beach.
Please do not through balls or toys into the sea and cause the excitement levels to get out of control. This is a training day and our dogs need to be controlled. If they do run off, dont panic; try and remember your training and call them calmly. We are there to help, so stay cool and we will work on them with you once they have returned.
We usually have a barbecue/buffet afterwards and invite people to bring contributions towards this.
This is a fun day and everyone enjoys it whatever the weather. So leave all your worries at home and come and join us.
